Dr. Sow Wen Jen (Jenson) is a Clinical Oncologist trained to provide oncology care through chemotherapy and radiation therapy. He also received basic training in palliative care management. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from International Medical University (IMU) in 2008. In 2018 he completed his Master of Clinical Oncology at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). In December 2020, he is a fully certified Clinical Oncologist under the National Specialists Registry (NSR).
In the early year, upon completion of his internship as house officer in 2010, he went on to pursue a career pathway in oncology. In 2012, he joined the Oncology Division of Hospital Kuala Lumpur as a Medical Officer to continue his clinical interest in this field. Upon graduation in the Clinical Oncology Master Program, he began practising as an independent Clinical Oncologist at Oncology Department in Sabah Women and Children Hospital, Likas, Sabah. In June 2020, he was transferred back to Institut Kanser Negara (IKN) to continue his service.
Dr. Jenson frequently gives public health talks and emphasize on the importance of cancer awareness. He also actively involved in numerous clinical research during his years in Ministry of Health. In 2019, he received the accolade of “Young Newcomers in Oncology Clinical Research, Clinical Research Malaysia Bulletin: Issue no.18” for his clinical research work.
He is an active member of the Malaysian Oncological Society (MOS) since June 2013 and currently the committee member of MOS. He is also an active member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) since January 2015, the European School of Radiation Oncology (ESTRO) and the Internation Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since January 2020.
Dr. Jenson is also involved in several international clinical guideline projects such as Pan-Asian Guideline Adaptation (PAGA) in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer which recently published in the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), 2023 and the upcoming PAGA in Biliary Tract Cancer, 2024.
Dr. Jenson manages variety of solid tumour malignancies with special interest in gastrointestinal (GI) tract cancer. He works closely with Dr. Choo Su Pin, a renowned GI medical oncologist from Curie Oncology, Singapore, to ensure patient receive the best possible outcomes in GI cancer. He focuses on personalized cancer care using various systemic/ targeted therapy/immunotherapy as well as radiation-guided therapy to treat his patients.

He has contributed to numerous publications, primarily covering the areas of Oncology and Cancer. He has also participated in many medical events and presentations within Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. Professor Dato’ Dr. Fuad has also lectured extensively over the years. His lectures typically cover Master’s courses on topics such as Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, Oncology, as well as Cancer Management and Care.
He has been actively involved in policies and protocols related to cancers, including the National Cancer Blueprint, Systemic Therapy of Cancer Protocols, and Clinical Practice Guidelines for cervical and breast cancers, among others. He also serves on multiple Malaysia Ministry of Health committees on cancer and was the National Coordinator for the Regional Cooperative Agreement (RCA) Project with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Professor Dato’ Dr. Fuad stays actively involved in many research projects where he’s often the Principal Investigator or Collaborator. He is also an active committee member of the Malaysian Oncological Society.

In 2007, he completed a one year Clinical Research Fellowship at the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Toronto, Canada.
Between 2007 and 2012, he was Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Senior Fellow at UKM Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. From 2006 to 2007, he served as the Clinical Research Fellow at Toronto-Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre, Toronto, Canada. Between 2001 and 2006, he was a Specialist Registrar in Clinical Oncology at Christie Hospital, Manchester, UK. He has also served as the Senior House Officer in Internal Medicine at Mid-Staffordshire General Hospital NHS Trust, UK; the Pre-Registration House Officer in General Surgery and Orthopaedics at Conquest Hospital, Hastings, UK; and as the Pre-Registration House Officer in General Medicine and Gastroenterology at Basildon Hospital, Essex, UK.
Dr. Muhammad Azrif is also a well-published individual, having contributed to multiple journals, research papers, publications, and articles. He has also spoken at cancer and oncology-related functions and events.
Dr. Muhammad Azrif was the President of the Malaysian Oncological Society between 2018
and 2021.

Dr. Ho Gwo Fuang, professor and clinical oncologist, completed his Certificate for Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2007. Since then, he joined the Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Malaya and held positions at both the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre and UM Specialist Centre for 17 years.
In 2009, Dr. Ho received the Joint Commission International (JCI) Outstanding Young Malaysian Award for medical innovation. His educational background includes a BSc (Medical Science) from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland (1995), an MB ChB (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) from the University of Manchester, UK (1998), an MRCP from The Royal College Of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK (2001), and an FRCR from The Royal College Of Radiologists, London, UK (2005). His training took place at Barts and The London National Health Service (NHS) Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Trust in London.
Dr. Ho’s research interests focused on cancer therapeutics, including chemotherapy, biological therapy, targeted therapy, radiotherapy, radiosurgery, brachytherapy, and radio-isotopes treatment. He authored books such as “Cancer and You” (2015) and “Written for Cancer Patient” (2014). Additionally, he co-authored the Pan-Asian Adapted ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for hepatocellular carcinoma (2020) and ASCO Resource Stratified Guideline for Early Detection for Colorectal Cancer (2019), as well as the Treatment of Patients with Early Stage Colorectal Cancer Resource Stratified Guideline (2019). Dr. Ho actively participated in national and international collaborative research and contributed to the training of new oncologists in Malaysia.

She has been registered with the National Specialists Register in Clinical Oncology since 1999.
Her career began in 1991 as House Officer at University Hospital Kuala Lumpur. A year later, she was appointed as a Medical Officer at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru. In 1995, she assumed the role of Medical Officer at Institute of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur. In 1996, she left for the UK where she was appointed as Visiting Specialist Registrar at the Department of Clinical Oncology, Royal Marsden Hospital. In 1999, she took on the role of Clinical Oncologist at Institute of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur until 2013 when she moved to Institut Kanser Negara as Consultant Clinical Oncologist. She was later promoted to head that department.
Dr. Lau was also appointed as the Chairman of the Specialty Subcommittee for Clinical Oncology for the National Specialist Register (NSR) and Chairman of the Parallel Pathway Committee for FRCR (Clinical Oncology) training. She was also the Country Project Leader for Radiation Oncology in the Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) from 2014 to 2021.
Her academic work covers roles as a Lecturer, Supervisor, and Examiner for the Master of Clinical Oncology (MCO) and Lecturer for Master of Medical Physics programs conducted by the University of Malaya. She was also a Lecturer for the Post-basic Oncology Nursing Course (Allied Health Science College) and a Lecturer for the Advanced Diploma in Computed Tomography (ADCT) course for therapy radiographers.
